Ogre Blocking

I'm a bit behind in posting this, but here is this past Sunday's assignment:


Here are my mentor's comments on this pass:
-Head turn andjump out of way should be one motion.
-The jump should initiate from his legs - it feels too controlled and calm right now when he's leading with his arm.
-The acting beats should not be as clear. Character should just be agitated that he was almost hit by a rock, constantly moving even if he doesn’t know exactly where he’s going.
-Roar is a bit cliché, but can keep it in – just don’t spend that much time on all these distinct moments. Should be moving/roaring/picking up rock all in one move. More Animal Planet, less Finding Nemo.
-Main point: Ogre has one thought – rage - and it’s carried out over all of the frames of the animation.
